Our Philosophy
Our primary goal is to create a warm, caring environment that nurtures your child's feelings of self-worth.  Our teachers provide a wide range of experiences in order to stimulate the child's interest in the world.  We provide a variety of learning experiences through play as well as the curriculum that supports and nurtures all areas of a child's development from social-emotional and cognitive skills to early literacy and math concepts to an understanding of science.  Teaching opportunities are in direct response to the interest of young children and their abilities allowing them to deepen their natural curiosity and eagerness to learn.

We respect each child as an individual with unique qualities of personality, intelligence and creativity.  Our teachers have set up an environment that is clean, fun, creative and "child-centered" to give your child the opportunity to learn and grow as an individual with a strong sense of self-worth and well being.

We feel an open line of communication between the Center and its staff and our parents is very important in providing the best possible care and overall rewarding experience for you and your child.

Nut-Free Center
We are a nut-free Center.  We will not serve nut products or food containing nuts.

Biting Policy
The preschool program (~ 2 years 9 months and older) has a no tolerance biting policy. By the time a child is of preschool age, they have the tools to communicate through words, in which biting is an unacceptable form of communication.  For the safety of all the children, repeat biters will be sent home.  Children who have bitten a child for the first time will receive a warning.  The next time the child bites they will be sent home for the remainder of the day.

Withdrawal Policy
If you choose to withdraw your child from our program, CCC requires 30-days written notice.  Withdrawals are accepted in writing by the Director.  If you choose to withdraw your child for an extended vacation, you will need to re-register your child and your child will be placed on our waiting list.

Emergency Procedures
In the event of a fire or major disaster, such as a destructive earthquake, we would like to assure parents that we have a Site Emergency Plan in effect.  All Staff are certified in Infant, Child and Adult First Aid and CPR.

CCC has an emergency supply of water, freeze-dried food and medical supplies that will meet the needs of the Center for 3 days.  Infant/Toddlers are responsible for providing a 3 day supply of formula and diapers.

For more information about CCC's Emergency Procedures, please see the Evacuation Procedures handout given at the time of enrollment.
